Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Portland, Oregon

By MidModMichelle

Y’ALL. This home, oh my gee, this home y’all. It has been shared all over social media, but it is so worth a look whether it’s your first time seeing it or the umpteenth time. I am in love with this home and if I could buy it with everything in it I would! This is the home of tiki mug artists from Munktiki, and so of course, y’all know me, I LOVE that it is totally tiki-fied. Anyhoo, take a look at this awesomeness!

This home is located at 11350 NE Klickitat St, Portland, Oregon on a large beautiful lot in a desirable neighborhood. It is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3,796 square foot home built in 1952 that is being offered at $549,000. The listing is courtesy of Bethann Prittie at Meadow Group, Inc. For more information and additional photos you can check out the listing here. From the listing:

“This is a beautiful mid century modern custom home! Upstairs-lrge ftroom windows, fireplace, 4 bdrms with beautiful builtins, hard wd floors, large kitchen and a Hollywood bathroom, Downstairs has a beautiful tiki bar, a family room w/fireplace, another family/media entertaining room, workshop and more! Outside is like a vacation, heated pool, 2 cabanas (his and hers) with bathrooms, roof top deck, covered patio, 3 car garage. Open house 4/22 12-3pm”

(Lovely and streamlined more formal living room)

(The cabinets are gorgeous!)

(The built-ins in these bedrooms are killing me dead.)

(Y’all know this tiki bar is making my heart race! Ha!)

(What an amazing downstairs rec space for cocktail parties and gatherings!)

(WOW!! The patio, pool and cabana are stunning!)

What did y’all think?? If you’re not into tiki or it’s a little too kitschy for you, I’ll try not to hold it against you. Ha! 😉 Interestingly, this home is only a couple miles from another AMAZING mid-century home we featured back in September of last year!

Didn’t Ramona Quimby live on Klickitat Street?

The basement is big enough to be another house! The bathroom though is possible the neatest ever seen. On the wall , on the left of the vanity, next to the floor above the scale, what is the little door?

Love most of this house, bathroom is maybe the best I’ve ever seen, and the basement is great too, would love to have that. Porch overhang is also really cool, dramatic architecture.

Kitchen is surprisingly bland for as wild as the rest of the house is, I think that’s the only area I’d insist on making changes to.
