Vintage Camper Friday, Perfect mobile duo

By Merlin,

On my weekly search I stumbled into this most unaffordable of the unaffordable, but this duo is so beautifully executed I figured I had to share and folks can just drool.

Featured are a 1952 Suburban and matching 1948 Palace Royale.  Suburbans began production in 1935 and the name is still made today.  This Chevrolet Suburban underwent an extremely detailed restoration.  Looking at the photos and reading the description I think the only thing I might add is air conditioning, which is available for these.  The gearing was even changed in this Chevy so that it can drive highway speeds now.

The camper itself, a 1948 Palace Royale, was restored and upgraded.  The interior features stainless steel where before there was wood.  The Palace travel Coach Corporation dated back to the 1930s, though I am not sure when they faded away.

At the same time it does retain some vintage design cues in the shapes of the furnishings.

And this cool combo can be yours for ONLY $135,000.00  I wonder who of the jet set will purchase this pair and set out on the road with them?

Happy camping  – Merlin
