Tuesday’s Retro Guest – Jan’s Vintage Travel Trailers and Mobile Homes Showcase
24 Nov
Thanks for the great post, Jan. I LOVE the pictures! Hmm…maybe I can talk Tom into buying a vintage trailer, do you think it will work??
Remember the movie The Long, Long Trailer with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz? They buy this fabulous mobile home trailer and tow it across America. The movie was made in 1954 and the trailer was a Redman, manufactured in Alma, Michigan. Some of those trailers were quite expensive and quite chic in decor.
Whether hitched to a tow vehicle or parked in a trailer park, this is mid-century modern on wheels!

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA the last copuple of days, but we had our open house yesterday and I had to do so much cleaning and cooking! I think the party turned out really well, but more on that in the next few days.
So, my parents haven’t lived in their house for almost a year since they were flooded out. They didn’t want to live in a hotel or apartment, so they are temporarily living in a trailer. It is really cute and vintage! It is from 1973, and is in good shape.
